Are you confused about how to use CBD oil?
CBD, a compound extracted from the hemp plant, is available in many different forms on the market.
In CBD oil, the compound is dissolved into a carrier oil and administered sublingually.
CBD oil is a popular choice for most people because it absorbs quickly, is easy to use, and is compatible with most user’s needs.
So how do you use CBD oil?
First, shake the bottle well to ensure the solution is mixed thoroughly.
Then fill the dropper by squeezing and releasing the bulb once.
The dropper will fill approximately halfway.
This amount is considered one “dropper” of CBD oil and usually equals one milliliter.
When you’re ready, position the tip of the dropper under your tongue.
Then squeeze the bulb to empty the oil from the dropper.
For best results, hold the oil under your tongue for 60 seconds before swallowing.
This will improve absorption.
Most CBD products will state the CBD content of the entire bottle on the front panel.
The supplement facts panel will show how many servings are in each bottle, as well as how much CBD is in one serving.
If a CBD label does not show this information, it can be calculated by dividing the CBD content of the bottle by the number of servings.
For instance, a 1,000 milligram bottle that has 30 servings has about 33 milligrams of CBD in each serving.
There’s no consensus about how many milligrams of CBD should constitute a single dose.
But here are some general guidelines to help you decide on where to begin:
· For general health, take 2.5 to 10 milligrams of CBD per day
· For chronic pain and inflammation, take 2.5 to 20 milligrams of CBD per day
· For sleep disorders, take 40 to 160 milligrams of CBD per day
· For more other, serious conditions, take 40 to 250 milligrams or more of CBD per day
While these may seem like wide ranges, it’s important to note that each person’s body will react differently.
Additionally, the bioavailability of the CBD, weight of the user, and severity of the condition being treated all play a role.
Although CBD is not likely to cause any adverse reactions, even at high dosages, it’s best to start with a low dose for several days and gradually increase the amount to find the right dose for you.
As for how many times per day to take CBD, it’s recommended that you use the lowest dose that provides the desired benefits and re-dose as the effects wear off as many times as needed.
With experience, you will find what amount works for you and how often to take it.
CBD products do not require a prescription.
