This video is selected exerpts for the 30 minute educational documentary Cannabis Facts – Clearing The Smoke, produced by Converse Media for NCPIC, UNSW.
Produced for the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Center (NCPIC), part of the National Drug and Alcohol Research Center (NADARC), University of NSW, this 30 minute educational documentary aims to update allied health workers with the latest information and research on Cannabis. The program includes interviews with leading researchers and social scientists including Professor Iain McGregor, School of Psychology University of Sydney, Dr Nadja Solowij, School of Psychology University of Wollongong and Dr Wendy Swift, NADARC, University of New South Wales. The DVD also includes factual segments on the effects of cannabis and other cannabinoids, how cannabis works, how is it is used, information about potency of the drug and the effects of cannabis on young people and developing brains. The latest evidence on cannabis dependence, withdrawal and treatment is also discussed.
The program will be launched at the 6th International Young People and Drugs Conference in Melbourne on Monday 2 May. Copies can be ordered from the NCPIC website: ncpic.org.au
