Jakey is an English teenager who loves computing, gaming and politics.
The 14-year-old lives with chronic, painful side effects of spastic cerebral palsy.
Prescribed narcotics and muscle relaxants made him depressed and drastically affected his quality of life.
Currently he is taking Sativex, a cannabis medicine, as part of a clinical trial.
Since, he says “the future is looking brighter”.
Jakey urges the Government to reconsider their stance on medicinal cannabis. He says that keeping the drug illegal criminalises those who might benefit from it medically. Their rhetoric, he says, exists only to “make young people feel bad about it.”
