Jeff Mizanskey – On September 1st, 2015, Jeff Mizanskey, at the age of 62, after being behind bars for two decades serving sentence of life in prison without parole for a non-violent cannabis charge, walked out Jefferson City Correctional Center in Missouri a free man. His interview in Growing Reason was the last one he did in prison. The producers of Growing Reason, along with countless advocates and legal teams, are happy to have had a part in effecting change, and salute Gov. Jay Nixon for his actions on commuting the sentence.
